Bali Holidays at the Hardrock Hotel Bali:
For my Bali Accommodation this trip I am staying at the Hard Rock Hotel Bali in Kuta, just a short walk to some great beach front restaurants and only a few minutes walk to Kuta Square and the Discovery Mall.
We breeze through the formalities at the Airport as we have booked the service of Express Immigration Clearance, we are met by an agent for Hardrock Hotel who takes our passports and organizes our Visa on arrival while we wait, We then go through a separate gate while the Agent deals with the Immigration, our longest wait is for our bags to come out on the luggage conveyor! This is certainly easier than standing in line especially with a 1 year old in tow.
Booking a Taxi from the airport is hassle free for 50,000 rph (approximately AU$6) to the Hardrock Hotel, the traffic is chaos always is always will be, its all part of Bali, my Bali Holiday has started.
My first thought on turning into the Hardrock is that security is still a priority; it’s good to see a number of guards checking under the car – the boot – in the car and under the bonnet.
Checking in is quick and efficient the staff are really friendly and helpful which is something that carries through our whole stay.We stayed in the Deluxe room which has seen better years and could certainly do with a makeover but were provided with a cot for no extra charge (although the 1 year old seemed to spend more time in our massive king size bed than the cot)
The Pool is huge with 2 main areas joined in the middle by a sandy lagoon with an Island and swaying palms, there are Cabanas surrounding the pool for private use at 250,000 to 300,000 rph for the day, there is also a shallow pool with a kid’s water playground also a couple of waterslides to keep the kids busy, for the adults there’s a swim up bar, and splash bistro and waiters to keep your drinks refreshed.
The Buffet breakfast is a sumptuous feast with a large variety of foods to choose from, either the typical Western big brekky of bacon, sausages, corn fritters, potato wedges and eggs any style you could ask for, or the Asian buffet of nasi kuning, mie goreng, crackers, bubur ayam, soup syam and a delicious assortment of pastries and cakes, breads and croissants and of course tea and coffee and a choose of juices.
Other facilities include:
• Tabu a teen hangout with Cinema, Video games room, Bar and Lounge and Pool Table, no adults allowed!
• Kids Club with daybeds toys and activites for the kids from 4 – 12 years old
• Gym and Spa, and Centre Stage Nightclub just to name a few activities
All in all the Hardrock Hotel is a great place to spend your Bali holiday, even though the rooms are in need of a makeover the positives of the fantastic Swimming Pool the great breakfast and the very friendly staff far out ways the negatives, I for one will be back next year with my Family.
